Cozy Space
Welcome aboard your new home among the stars!
You are a girl who left Earth behind because, honestly, it was pretty shitty and boring. So you took your cat, stole a spaceship, and left.
Unfortunately, things don't go quite as planned.
After passing through a mysterious black wormhole, your spaceship's systems started malfunctioning. Furniture and objects are no longer where they are supposed to be...
Explore Your Spaceship
Cozy Spaceship is a small exploration game where you can explore three different versions of your spaceship and observe how their environments change.
Take your time, look around your bedroom, explore the different layouts and see where objects ended up. Maybe one version looks more cozy than another. Maybe some placements make more sense than others.
There is no rush. Just explore, observe, and enjoy your little spaceship. ^^
Procedural Generation
The main focus of the project is Procedural Content Generation (PCG).
The spaceship's objects and their placements are generated using different approaches. This allows you to compare how different forms of procedural generation affect the feeling and usability of a space.
The three stations represent different approaches to level and object placement:
- Fixed Design – Objects are placed according to traditional level design principles.
- Fixed Seed – Objects are procedurally generated using a fixed seed, creating a reproducible layout.
- Random Seed – Objects are procedurally generated using a changing seed, resulting in different placements.
Take a look around each station and decide for yourself:
Which environment feels the best to you?
Where did this come from?
Cozy Spaceship was created as the practical part of a scientific theory and practice project about controlled randomness in Unity.
The project explores how procedural generation can be used alongside traditional level design and how different approaches to object placement can influence the player's experience of a 3D environment.
While PCG and system programming were the main technical focus of the project, a lot of attention also went into creating the actual environment.
The game features:
- Level Design
- Procedural Content Generation
- System & Game Programming
- Lighting
- Sound Design
- Environmental & Object Placement
- 3D Environment Design
So while the systems are doing a lot of work behind the scenes, the goal was to create a space that feels like an actual little home in space.
Take your time
There is no big adventure waiting for you. No enemies. No combat. No world to save.
Just you, your spaceship, your cat, and a bunch of furniture that may or may not have ended up where it belongs.
Welcome aboard. ♡
Important notice! = This is a Demo Version, it wont be made into an actual big game, since it was only a short testing project (and i dont have much time) so enjoy what you have or support me for maybe more rooms and better gameplay :D
if you want more context of all the assets or sounds then please contact me. (Some are made by me, some are mainly from sketchfab ^^ (audios from pixabay))

And yes, I fell to the void, lmao.
But in general, I loved the concept, it has cute small tasks and a cat.
That's enough for me ☺️
